SHERIDAN, WYOMING – December 8, 2025 – The all-new Mercedes-Benz GLB is stepping into the spotlight as an electric compact SUV that blends striking design, serious tech and real everyday usability for families and adventure lovers alike. With space for up to seven people, long-distance electric range and a radically redesigned high-tech interior, the new GLB is built to handle everything from school runs to ski trips with style.
Electric SUV with Range for Real Life
At launch, the all-electric GLB portfolio includes the GLB 250+ with EQ Technology and the GLB 350 4MATIC with EQ Technology, both powered by an 85-kWh usable battery. The GLB 250+ delivers up to 631 kilometers of electric range (WLTP) and 268 hp, offering a distance that is unrivalled in its class, while the 349-hp GLB 350 4MATIC sits at the top of the model range for drivers who want extra punch. Thanks to its new 800-volt electric architecture, the GLB can charge up to 260 kilometers of range (WLTP) in just 10 minutes at compatible fast-charging stations.
From Cologne to Berlin, Rome to Venice, Lyon to Strasbourg – or Denver to Salt Lake City and Los Angeles to Las Vegas – Mercedes-Benz highlights how many iconic city pairs fall within roughly 600 kilometers. The idea is simple: these are trips you can comfortably complete on a full charge in the GLB 250+. For daily driving, that means fewer charging stops and more spontaneous weekend escapes.
Spacious, Flexible and Ready for Family Life
The new GLB is designed to make the most of its footprint, with standard seating for five and an optional third row that increases capacity to seven. The two individual seats in the third row can comfortably accommodate passengers up to 5'6" tall, while access is easier thanks to the Easy Entry function’s extended adjustment range and larger rear door openings. In the second row, Mercedes-Benz has improved seat foam, lateral support and hip angle, so passengers enjoy more thigh support and comfort on longer journeys.
Cargo space is generous, with up to 19.1 cu ft in the trunk (17 cu ft with the third row) and up to 60.6 cu ft with the rear seats folded (56.7 cu ft with the third row). The standard 40/20/40 split-folding rear seat and optional sliding second row make it easy to switch between people and luggage. There’s also a frunk – the largest in the model family – for extra storage up front, perfect for charging cables, soft bags or everyday essentials.
Comfortable in All Seasons – From Snowstorms to Heatwaves
Mercedes-Benz has put a lot of thought into how the GLB behaves in tough weather. An innovative heat pump adapted from the VISION EQXX program uses waste heat from the electric drive, the battery and ambient air to warm the cabin efficiently. In tests at 19°F, the new GLB heated the interior to comfort temperature twice as fast as its predecessor while using only about half the energy.
For icy mornings, the climate control system can clear a frozen windshield in about 15 minutes at 5°F using just the defrost function. Clever details like the VISION CONTROL windshield wiper system – which sprays washer fluid directly ahead of the blade – keep visibility high without sudden water bursts on the glass. The result is a family SUV that feels ready for early-morning commutes, mountain roads and everything in between.
Digital, Intuitive and Surprisingly Personal
Inside, the GLB moves into a new tech era with MB.OS at its core and the latest generation of MBUX on board. The optional MBUX Superscreen stretches across the cabin with a 10.25-inch driver display, a 14-inch central display and a 14-inch front passenger display behind a single glass surface. Over-the-air updates keep major vehicle functions – including advanced driver assistance systems – fresh for years.
The fourth-generation MBUX system introduces a hyper-personalized digital experience, integrating AI from Microsoft and Google to create a smarter, more conversational in-car assistant. The new MBUX Virtual Assistant uses generative AI to support multi-turn, natural conversations, whether you’re asking for navigation tips, curious about points of interest or simply want something explained in a way a child can understand. With support from Google Maps, it can also give tailored local suggestions for special outings or date nights.
Music lovers can opt for the Burmester® 3D Surround Sound System with up to 16 speakers, 850 watts and Dolby Atmos®, plus a holistic “SoundExperience” that lets you choose from several immersive soundscapes. Combined with ambient lighting and an available SKY CONTROL panoramic roof with illuminated starry sky, the GLB’s cabin can shift from calm lounge to futuristic light show in seconds.
