BMW Motorrad USA Unveils 2026 Lineup with Fresh Colors, Tech Upgrades and Built-In Break-In Service

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – December 2, 2025 – From adventure-ready GS models to six-cylinder touring flagships and M-badged track weapons, BMW Motorrad USA’s 2026 lineup is all about giving riders more choice, more comfort and an easier start to ownership. With updated colors and graphics, smarter equipment packages and a complimentary break-in service built in, the new model year makes it simpler than ever to tailor a BMW motorcycle to your kind of riding.

A premium start: break-in service now included

Every 2026 BMW motorcycle sold in the U.S. now includes the Ultimate Care Break-In Service, or “600 Mile Service” as standard. Time and mileage limits apply – maximum six months from the in-service date or 750 miles, whichever comes first – but the idea is simple: your first crucial service is already taken care of.

For new riders or anyone stepping into a more sophisticated machine, that takes some of the stress out of the early miles. Instead of worrying about that first workshop bill, you can focus on getting comfortable with the bike, experimenting with riding modes and learning how the electronics support you on different roads.

Adventure-focused F Series gets color and value updates

Off-road fans and light-touring riders will notice a series of thoughtful updates across the F range. The 2026 BMW F 800 GS keeps its approachable 895 cc parallel twin and Light White color, with the Style Triple Black option returning unchanged – but gains a repositioned Premium Package at a reduced price, making it easier to add comfort and tech without breaking the budget.

The F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure bring sharper looks and a few smart spec tweaks. The F 900 GS introduces Style Passion Snapper Rocks Blue in place of Sao Paulo Yellow, and a refreshed Style GS Trophy design with a striking red rear frame. The Adventure version gets a new Sage Green Metallic option in place of White Aluminum Metallic, while both benefit from heated grips, full LED lighting, a 6.5-inch TFT display with Connectivity and reduced-price Premium Packages. Together, they continue to offer a sweet spot for riders who want serious adventure potential without committing to the full size and weight of a big boxer GS.

On the road-biased side, the F 900 R and F 900 XR keep their lively 895 cc engines and familiar core colors, but gain updated graphics and rebalanced Premium Packages. The F 900 R’s package now includes GPS Prep and Tire Pressure Monitor, making it more commuter- and tour-friendly, while the F 900 XR continues to blend upright comfort, cornering-focused Headlight Pro and heated grips with reduced package pricing.

Big-boxer style: R 12 family and the new R 12 G/S

Riders drawn to classic air/oil-cooled boxer character will find more personality in the R 12 lineup. The 2026 BMW R 12 adds Gravity Blue Metallic and Option 719 Meteoric Dust 2 Metallic, replacing previous red and silver hues, while the R 12 nineT and R 12 S gain Imperial Blue Metallic and keep their distinctive options, including Option 719 Aluminum and Lava Orange Metallic for the R 12 S.

All share the 1,170 cc boxer twin with up to 109 hp, BMW Motorrad ABS Pro, Dynamic Traction Control, Dynamic Engine Brake Control, Keyless Ride and full LED lighting – mixing heritage looks with very modern safety tech. Entirely new for 2026, the R 12 G/S brings that same engine to a more rugged, travel-ready platform with fully adjustable Enduro suspension, progressive damping and Intelligent Emergency Call, aimed at riders who want a classic vibe but aren’t afraid to leave the pavement.

New R 1300 roadster, sport and touring flagships

For riders who live on twisty backroads or cross-country highways, the new 1,300 cc boxer platform opens up three distinct personalities. The R 1300 R is a muscular roadster, the R 1300 RS a sleek sport tourer and the R 1300 RT a full-dress touring machine, all sharing a 145 hp, 110 lb-ft boxer, BMW Motorrad ABS Pro, Dynamic Traction Control, Dynamic ESA and a 6.5-inch TFT with Connectivity.

Color and style packages like Snapper Rocks Blue, Racing Blue Metallic, Triple Black and various Option 719 finishes let you dial in the look, while Excellence, Comfort and Dynamic packages layer on features such as advanced rider aids, convenience tech and luxury touring touches. Think Dynamic Cruise Control, Hill Start Assist, full LED lighting, integrated panniers and more – the kind of long-distance comfort that makes multi-day trips feel easy.

GS, M and K series: from world travel to track days

On the adventure side, the 2026 R 1300 GS receives a new standard Racing Red color, fresh GS Trophy and Option 719 Imperial Blue Metallic variants, plus well-equipped color/style packages that bundle Comfort, Touring, Dynamic and lighting upgrades along with your choice of Gear Shift Assist Pro or Automatic Shift Assistant. The R 1300 GS Adventure, with its 7.9-gallon fuel tank and integrated attachment points, keeps its color palette but adds hand protection as standard across all packages from January 1, 2026 production.

Performance-focused riders will find familiar firepower in the S and M ranges. The S 1000 R, S 1000 RR and S 1000 XR continue with 999 cc inline-four engines in 170–205 hp trims, BMW Motorrad ABS Pro with Race ABS, M chassis components, winglets on select models and rider aids such as Riding Modes Pro and Hill Start Control Pro. The S 1000 XR’s Premium Package now includes a USB port for easier device charging. At the top, the M 1000 R, M 1000 RR and M 1000 XR combine superbike power with Dynamic ESA or Damping Control, forged wheels and distinctive M liveries, with some package prices reduced for 2026.

Long-distance luxury remains the domain of the K 1600 GT, K 1600 B, Grand America and K 1600 GTL, all powered by BMW’s sumptuous 1,649 cc six-cylinder engine and enriched with features like a 10.25-inch TFT display, Adaptive Headlight, heated grips and seats, reversing aid and reduced-price touring packages.
