Nimbus Cruiser-Coupé motor yachts

Submitted by J. Mikhail on

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – January 19, 2023 – The Scandinavian Nimbus Group of shipyards will present 14 boats at boot Düsseldorf 2023, in the familiar location in Hall 4. Nine models come from the Group’s own brand, Nimbus Boats, including an international premiere.

For decades Nimbus Boats has been known for its Coupé cruisers – motor yachts in a “hygge” Scandinavian style as evidenced by the constantly updated Nimbus 305 Coupé models and the legendary long-distance travelling boat Nimbus 365 Coupé. Like the Nimbus 405 Flybridge with extraordinary space and her clever access solution to the upper deck, these models will be on show at boot 2023.

Leopard 46 Powercat/The Moorings

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – January 19, 2023 – Leopard Catamarans has already proven its exceptional position with their power catamarans Leopard 53 Powercat and Leopard 46 Powercat, which has just recently been recognised as the best cruising boat of the year with the Best of Boats Award. The newly developed Leopard 46 Powercat is now launching as a smaller but completely independent model by the South African shipyard.

The generous outside areas so typical of Leopard are towered by the biggest flybridge available on a 40-foot catamaran. Technology of the highest order: by using the latest computer technology both the performance and stability have been improved in comparison with her predecessors.

Living on board is a luxurious pleasure even on long cruises thanks to the roomy kitchen, lavish interior and airy cabins. Low-noise engines bring the Leopard 40 Powercat up to 17 knots travelling speed and a top speed of over 20 knots.

Jeanneau Merry Fisher 1295 Fly

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – January 19, 2023 – Space requirements on board are rising and the Jeanneau Merry Fisher 1295 Fly keeps pace with this need. The biggest model in the series clearly outdoes her sisters but not only in terms of LOA. Like all boats in this line, the MF 1295 Fly is also geared towards families who want to spend several days on the water.

Raised sides crowned by sturdy side rails ensure safety. Even the outdoor helm stand, accessible by a ladder, features solid fencing. At 11.92 m in length the hull is almost two metres longer than that of the next smaller boat, the Merry Fisher 1095 Fly.

With a 3.80 m beam, the 12-m boat provides plenty of space for a roomy salon which is directly connected with the aft deck via a sliding door. The highlight is a starboard balcony terrace that can be lowered to serve as a springboard into the sea or as a sunbed or secluded reading corner. It measures about two square metres.

Jeanneau Cap Camarat 10.5 CC

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – January 19, 2023 – The biggest model in Jeanneau‘s Cap-Camarat series is optimised for both swimming and  fishing tours. You easily control the two outboards of the Jeanneau Cap Camarat 10.5 CC with 600 hp or 850 hp over long distances. While the helmsman stands below the T-top of the centre console, the remaining crew can stretch out on the spacious sunbeds in the bow or aft cockpit.

Once the sofa has been converted into a bed, the boat sleeps four thanks to the double bed in the aft cabin. The washroom features a separate shower and the pantry is also generously equipped with a refrigerator, sink and gas stove. In a nutshell: this powerboat also appeals to idlers.

Indie houseboats by HausbootGeist

Submitted by J. Mikhail on

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – January 19, 2023 – This apartment floats – but you don’t feel it. The Indie houseboats glide over the water fully electrically without any noise, vibrations or exhaust gases. The helm stand is seamlessly integrated into their no-frills, elegant interiors. An Indie is for living, in the first place, and for reaching your favourite destination, in the second. The name of the boat builder: HausbootGeist.

The founding couple behind Geist, Silvia Schottenheim and Stefan Geiger, were on a quest for the perfect boat for living and travelling on inland waterways themselves. They simply built Indie for themselves. These boats are one-off pieces, each one of them individually adapted to their customers’ requests. But one rule always applies: the master cabin is equipped with a generous double bed and the kitchen with a double-door fridge; as you’ve come to expect from your home.

Bénéteau Gran Turismo 45

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – January 19, 2023 – The fast, beautifully designed Bénéteau Gran Turismo 45 motor cruiser offers anything but “tourist class” cruising. The French shipyard will exhibit the cross-over boat in Germany for the first time. Although in terms of size this powerboat comes with many social areas, the new GT 45 is also a weekender for “new entrants”.

This third generation of the Gran-Turismo line is launching at an exciting point in time – with many customers who have just acquired a taste for boating over the past two years. Furthermore, this stately sports boat is designed for all those fed up with their centre-console boats or the bowrider and now want to progress to the next level of boating. The Bénéteau GT45 has everything a dayboat needs for a day at sea: the swim platform, outdoor barbecue, and lots more.

Bavaria SR 36

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – January 19, 2023 – Bavaria SR 36 will come to the Rhine as a trade fair premiere. Family and friends are clearly the shipyard’s focal target group. The corresponding buzzword is Social Areas – Bavaria’s recipe for success for a new take on serial yacht building over the past few decades.

The designers wanted to offer retreat and leisure opportunities for a variety of guests at various places on board. At the rear end of the GFRP hardtop the designer used two massive stainless steel beams to support the weight of the roof structure complete with Webasto sunroof. This means aft views are not blocked by any of the usual, broad GFRP columns.

Thanks to a joystick controlling the two Volvo diesel engines this yacht virtually “floats” out of the marina. Two 300 hp Volvo Penta D4-300 ensure boating pleasure with the family.

Bavaria SR 33

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – January 19, 2023 – Bavaria will be presenting the smallest motor yacht in its SR line as a world premiere in Düsseldorf. Boasting four full-sized berths, the 11.40 m long Bavaria SR 33 is a space-saving wonder. Her silhouette strongly resembles that of her bigger sisters – Bavaria SR36 and Bavaria SR 41 – which will also be exhibited on the Rhine. No wonder: her design came care of the same designer – Marco Casali.

The similarities in design and furnishing are deliberate. The Bavaria SR 33 offers all the features that also distinguish other SR yachts; namely maximum comfort geared to families and close friends.

Axopar 45

Submitted by J. Mikhail on

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – January 19, 2023 – The new Axopar 45 is the world’s biggest outboard cabin yacht with 45-foot LOA. This slender yacht with a sporty silhouette offers a good alternative to bigger and more expensive motor yachts. And the best part: with three Mercury V8 300 Verado outboard motors this boat is also one of the most efficient 45-foot yachts on the market, by the shipyard’s account.

What was the idea behind the design of the Axopar 45 for the young shipyard that has built almost 1,000 boats in 2021? According to Axopar co-founder Jan-Erik Viitala the length is just right. He speaks of “rightsizing”. This becomes evident when looking at the enormously generous space especially below deck – plus several brand new design ideas.

X-Shore 1

Submitted by J. Mikhail on

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – January 19, 2023 – X-Shore from Sweden has built not only sustainable but also smart powerboats since 2016. To ensure electric motors become mainstream they have set a low price for their new tender model X-Shore 1. Paying from EUR 99,000 owners will get a 6.50 m long, open-deck electric boat that covers up to 50 nautical miles at a reasonable travel speed per battery charge. Or reaches a top speed of 30 knots alternatively.

There are various options for the superstructures but the X-Shore 1 exudes classic chic with all of them. The hull material – GFRP and carbon – is used so efficiently that this tender is extremely lightweight. As a result, a single 63 kWh battery suffices for sporty, fun cruising.
